Today, Organizations with BENGONET, under the Education, Peace and Conflict thematic group visited Great Star Academy Secondary School, Yandev Street, Wadata, Makurdi-Benue State to educate, counsel and sensitize the girl child. The facilitator, Dr. Hangeior Degarr of the Mass Communication Department , Benue State University talked on the theme: Youths with Vision and task the girls to focus on their interest and passion when choosing a career after secondary school education. He also tasked and advised them not to be distracted and their aim should be on building their self confidence as girls and focus more on their education to be the best they can and achieve their dreams. The session was very interactive and the students were very happy by the end of the session. Cheerful Hands Initiative was actively involved as part of her aim and objectives to educate the 'Girl Child' Education is the Key to SUCCESS.
